uncommenced_amendments

Answers "what is scheduled to change, and when": amendments and cessations that are enacted or made but have not yet commenced. Each item names the title, the commencement date, the provisions affected and the law that makes the change.

Parameters

Notes

• Not in force. The current text returned by get_provision_text and search_provisions does not include these changes, and will not until the Federal Register publishes the compilation that does.
• Amendments and cessations only. Scheduled repeals by sunsetting are on sunset_radar.
• Scope it. Pass legislation_id for one title, or portfolio or issuing_authority. horizon_days limits how far ahead to look; omitted, there is no limit.
• The amending text. text_available: true means Advisor holds the amending law, and get_uncommenced_text returns its items for the title and date shown. Where it is false, the amending law is not held and its text is on the Federal Register. The amended compilation itself is not held until the Federal Register publishes it.
• A long list is cut to fit. If the response would exceed the size limit, the list keeps its first items, soonest first, and truncated and truncation_note say how many were kept. Scope the call or lower limit to see the rest.
